On September 25 + 26, 2019 the largest European seaweed conference, SEAGRICULTURE, will take place in Ostend, Belgium. Please have a look at: www.seagriculture.eu. This year’s theme is Seaweed Success Stories. There will be 6 sessions, each focusing on a specific topic (e.g. large scale cultivation and mechanization, human and animal health, etc.). Some facts:

• There will be 24 excellent presentations by seaweed experts, including 6 keynote speakers
• There will be 150-200 seaweed experts from more than 30 countries in Europe and abroad
• There are possibilities to present posters and seaweed products
• On Wednesday night (Sept 25) there will be an amazing conference seaweed dinner at the beach
• On Thursday afternoon you will have the chance to visit the research facilities of ILVO, the Flemish research institute for agriculture, food and fisheries
• If you want to stay for an extra day (or two), Ostend is only half an hour by train/car from the beautiful city of Brugge
